3 Steps to Guaranteed Abs

Everybody wants 6-pack abs. Here’s the 3 things you need to do to get those abs.

 

  1. Eat the right food and the right amount at the right times.

First, you should eat only enough calories to support exercise. You can do an hour of abdominal exercises everyday but if you are eating more calories than you are burning, you’ll never see those abs. Start by lowering calories to the amount you need to support exercise. This does not mean go on a low calorie diet. You need the right amount of calories to give you energy throughout the day.

Second, eat complex/sugary carbs on days you workout. The days you workout are the days to eat fruit and/or starchy carbs like rice and potatoes. These can be great for leaning out. It only works though if you eat them at the right time. If you save these carbs for workout days, that energy will be used specifically for growing muscle.

  1. Do more compound, high intensity exercises.

If you want to speed up your metabolism, bicep curls, bench press and slow jogs won’t cut it. You need heavy, total body lifts and you need to work out fast, getting your heart rate high. This type of training will build muscle and speed up fat loss to reveal those abs.

Try doing workouts with squats, deadlifts, lunges, thrusters, presses and rows. Always do these exercises with perfect form. Try 3-5 sets of lower repetitions as heavy as you can AND higher repetitions with lighter weight as fast as you can.

  1. Do the right ab exercises.

You need to exercise your abs but you need to be doing the RIGHT exercises. Try these 4 exercises to get those abs:

1) Hanging leg raise

2) Hollow hold variations

3) Tuck-ups

4) Plank variations
